Caracas Raku Pot - Light Koral

These stunning pots has a cracked glazed finish and are each unique. They can be used as planters or stand alone pieces. It is important to note that the Caracas pot is not 100% waterproof as it is not glazed on the bottom and the raku baking technique gives cracks on the glazed areas.

Raku is a baking technique that originated in Japan in the mid sixteenth century. During the extreme temperature changes of cooling down, glazing and cracking occurs on the surface.

Please note that our pots which are not fully glazed may allow moisture to seep through the unglazed areas. This natural characteristic is common in handcrafted pottery and can be beneficial for certain plants. However, we recommend placing a protective tray underneath to prevent any moisture damage to surfaces.
