Have you noticed the light already? It arrives a little later each morning and leaves a little earlier each evening. Summer is not over, but the shelves in Espoo are quietly telling us what comes next: the first autumn pieces have landed.
Fire, wool and warm colours
The most welcome box we opened came from Eldvarm. The Emma basket in naturel is the simplest thing — woven, sturdy and made to sit beside the fireplace with kindling in it. Even before the first cold evening, it makes a room feel ready.
Next to them, the wool has arrived too. A favourite is the lambswool blanket in malt beige — soft, undyed and the colour of late summer itself. Throw it over the sofa arm now; you will not regret it in September.
Pots that can stay outside
August is also the month to think about what lives on the terrace and what comes in. If you are tired of carrying pots indoors every autumn, look at the Lava pot or the Nuuk pot in forest green. Both are frost-proof, which means they can stay outside through the winter — just lift them onto pot feet so water can drain away underneath.
Come and see
The new pieces are in the shop in Espoo now, and more arrive every week. As always, we are happy to help you choose — whether it is a pot for the front door or a blanket for the cottage sofa.
Welcome!
